Its well known that stress contributes to weight gain…but why? I did some research and the most entertaining answer I found was from Dr.Oz. On his show he goes over how stress releases hormones in the brain that basically feed steroids to fat cells telling them to grow larger. He also goes into ways to reduce stress and an herbal supplument called passionflower. There was also a little segment on how to tell if stress is affecting your fat by feeling how firm it is. It was something along the lines of “Jiggly fat is better than firm fat”.
